IMAGES IN COMMENTS

So you want to put an image in a comment…

Great!

Because this blog uses a WordPress theme, but is not hosted by WordPress, that’s a little tougher than normal. I have not yet found a slick and efficient plug-in to manage the function.

So, in the meantime, if you would like to embed images in comments, you need to use the standard HTML image tag.

So let’s say you want to post a nice visual quote from the movie V for Vendetta. You find a link and you drop it in your comment like so:

And what comes out in the comment is beautiful:

All you need to do is duplicate the format and replace the URL in the quotes.  I believe it will support most common image files such as .jpg, .png, & .gif.  It may also support bitmap file (.bmp) but really that’s just ancient and everyone will laugh at you, so don’t.

I hope you will all have a wonderful time embedding images, and I won’t have to edit your comments as often to fix this up.
