  2. I may perhaps be misreading, but apparently in Willie's case a full bladder is necessary for firmness. That seems to be the drift of the allusion to "up she rises early in the morning" although the gender ascribed is somewhat odd. But, assuming that Willie is not lying, there was a necessary intermediate act between the full bladder and even the incipient smile of any futurely abused Cub Scout. If I understand his rather allusive prose, I have an inkling, far from a certainty of course, of the root cause of several of his parodies. (Willie is to prose what Hart Crane is to poetry except kinkier.)
