Braaaaain Marinade

Brains are good food.  Any zombie knows this.  But anything can be improved.

This is a soon to become old family recipe that I begged for the first time I had it at some other family’s house.

  • 2/3 C soy sauce
  • 1/2 C vegetable oil
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 Tbsp molasses
  • 10 generous shakes of Worcestershire sauce

Combine all ingredients, stir well.  Let it sit for 12-24 hours.  Pour it over your brains and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. Grill and enjoy.

The first time I had this was on sirloin steaks. I’ve done just about ever cut of beef, plus chicken and pork chops.  About the only part of the animals I haven’t tried is the one that gets left behind in the barnyard.

I’ll let DUMBFUCK try that & let us know how it goes.

  1. We use a very similar marinade around this Zombie homestead. No molasses. But, we do add fresh squeezed lemon juice, stoneground mustard (instead of dry mustard), and numerous grinds of fresh, cracked, black pepper.

Have chicken marinating since yesterday afternoon sitting in my fridge as I type.

  3. I just put this marinade together and am eager to try it out later this week. We're planning to BBQ pork and grill a steak (can't spare my brains). Will report back on how we liked it.
